That would take a LOT of code and coding. And why would it need a “make a server” button? It already has a seperate executable for a game server. That way you can play while you host. And in case you didn’t notice, Infiniminer is now open source. You can add the new equipment yourself! 😀

By: LEO235 Sat, 16 May 2009 19:22:00 +0000 There is one update that youll HAVE to do:
Dirt block spawning: you might give the engineer a block that looks like dirt but can be walked through by both teams and/or make it so that blocks can be taken and deployed so we can take dirt blocks and close the way we came behind us.
You might also want to think about more options for the prospector. let him also see the other teams members and the fake dirt blocks if you put those in.
many others have also asked for water and I can see how that makes sense, though I would say dirt blocks are the priority
you made a brilliant game. make it as customizable as possible, cause that will make it live long and prosperous.

By: tons0phun Mon, 11 May 2009 03:00:00 +0000 Got the game and it’s a blast, though I do have 3 questions:
1) Have you considered making any kind of device that could move/pump lava upwards towards the surface? Like a pump-block that can have pipe-pieces fitted to it for transporting the lava, and another type of pipe piece which dispenses it on any exposed sides?
2) With the removal of the teleport-block, would you consider adding a block such as a “lift” block? I imagine it could be something where you add it on to a side of a ladder (since the ladder block looks more like a set of guide-rails or tracks). When you’re on the block, and you look up (more than 45

By: Ricky Sun, 10 May 2009 23:35:00 +0000 Hey, would it be possible to have an option to choose between having bases or returning to the surface? cause bases were cool 😛
Oh, also – is there a way to edit the graphic files? so that we could make our own skins for the game?

By: That Guy Sat, 09 May 2009 16:50:00 +0000 Played it today for first time, It was awesome! But its slightly lacking.
Sorry but I have to do this IT NEEDS WEAPONZ!!!!0ne!1!
This might just as well be called "3d motherload vs greifing enemy team".
Give it at least 1 melee weapon and 1 ranged weapon then without a doubt this
game will shit pixelated gold bricks all over world of warcraft.
ps.suggestion: add ability to spawn normal dirt blocks that disappear on touch (potential for pit-traps
😀 )

By: Axoren Thu, 30 Apr 2009 05:11:00 +0000 I can only imagine how orgasmic this game will be.

By: Chris Thu, 30 Apr 2009 01:41:00 +0000 Xolroc – Heh, as a member of the official forums for an embarrassingly long time, I have to point out that Motherload is an XGenStudios game. They gave plenty of other sites permission to host it though, including Miniclip.
Not that it matters… just couldn’t let that one go. 😛
But to answer your question: A little bit. You’ll be digging massive tunnels and making surface runs. But you’ll be doing it in 3D with other players, and you’ll be trying to sabotage the other team’s tunnels at the same time.
And no Mr. Natas, I’m afraid. 😉
On another note, there’s a new feature that’s totally awesome and reminds me even more of Dwarf Fortress. But I’ll let Zach tell you about that.

By: Xolroc Sun, 26 Apr 2009 01:17:00 +0000 Is this like the miniclip game Motherload?
