With exactly one week until entries are due for Phase One of the Ruckingenur Challenge, I’d like to try to get a feeling for how things are going. So far, I’ve only received one entry – is anyone else working on an entry? Did anyone attempt to start an entry but stop before finishing? Is there anyone who wants to make an entry but needs help with their idea?
I’d love to know how you feel about the Ruckingenur Challenge, so go ahead and post some comments!
I’ve got some ideas, but they sort of lean on that exochip-thing you came up with. That would take some significant AI programming, I’d think.
You should finish up levels 5-7
Im not a Programmer, but id really like to see something thats more complicated like a circuit 4-8 times as big.
I had thought of modifying a circuit I built for an RFID door lock system and turning it into a level but unfortunately haven’t had time to think all the way through it.
I’m working on an entry – but it’s taking longer than anticipated…
Aye – I think that’s a fair statement. You’re right, these puzzles take a long time to write! I’ve sketched out a few thoughts but I haven’t gotten anything solid yet. Which is too bad, because I really love Rückingenur.
It’s good to hear that you guys are working on puzzles! Even if you can’t finish it in time for Phase One, there’s always Phase Two, provided that you’re willing to actually build the level. Good luck to those of you who are working on levels for the October 15th deadline!
I’ve got one simple puzzle mostly written down which I will submit.
I’m working on a few other ideas, but probably won’t have them done by the phase one deadline.
Well, I’ve submitted a level about an automated coffee machine you have to hack to make hot chocolate, at just the right temperature. Mmmmm… Hot chocolate…
I just made up a level now. Took all of 1/2 an hour, while I’m supposed to be paying attention in Programming class.
